The Nikonos I is derived directly from the Calypso Phot, only the covering is different, and the lens is a Nikkor 35 mm f:2.5 , inspired by the 35 mm 2.5 of Nikon RF.
The preproduction model was covered with a gorgeous White skin ... (very rare version)
Signed «Nippon Kogaku Tokyo» on the rear.

Extérieurement, ressemble au modèle 1, mais de nombreuses améliorations de détails, y compris un levier d’armement plus rapide, un nouvel objectif Nikkor avec une échelle en mètres et une indication de profondeur de champ plus claire. Type II en caractères romains écrit sur le boîtier entre le viseur et le levier multi fonction.
Signé «Nikon» à l’arrière du boîtier, à l’exception de la rare version allemande, marquée «nikkor».
Externally, looks like the model I, but with many improvements in detail, including a faster film rewind crank, new Nikkor lens with an additional meter scale and clear depth of field indication. Camera type II in Roman characters is marked on the body between the finder and the multi fonction lever.
Signed «Nikon» on the rear, except on the rare «German» version which is signed «Nikkor».
